William S. Burroughs: A Man Within
Finally, there may just be a proper documentary on William S. Burroughs. There was "Burroughs" from 1983 that was good, but a little disjointed and incomplete (here's the best bit). Let's hope this new documentary, "A Man Within," fills in the blanks.
There have been screenings all over and the film will be at the IFC Theater in NYC starting Nov 17th.

That is awesome.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's funny that it hits us right now.
At blythe's birthday i packed my mp3player with burroughs, bukowski, bill hicks, some other readings and soundtrackstuff (ok, i smuggled in the one or other amazing priest-song) and put in on shuffle on the toilet, so everyone who went pee or such had a fun time at the private room.
well and then i couldn't delete it from my player and had just to much fun to listen to that stuff on my way to work for like a week.
it keeps you smiling on the train.
that's it.
again: thank you jon for the news.
Sounds like a good mix. I love Bukowski too but I need to read more of his stuff.
