Jerome Deppe

Verge of Light just released the digital version of Jerome Deppe’s excellent album “Showtunes for the Damned.” This was originally released in 2008 as a CD and Graphic Novel (which is still available here).

Here's an excerpt of a review by Simon Collins, from Judas Kiss Webzine:

“Showtunes For The Damned is the fourth solo album from Baltimore-based musician Jerome Deppe. In addition to being a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter, and playing guitar for David E. Williams as well as recording his own music, Jerome is a painter and photographer, and Showtunes… is a multi-media showcase for his plethora of talents. [… the album] is a tour-de-force of dark pop, rising above the gravitational pull of its obvious 80s industrial, goth and post-punk influences to offer a stark, unflinching commentary on living in the end-times.”

You can listen / purchase this over at bandcamp (or in the player below). The album is also available through iTunes America will be for sale via Amazon MP3 shortly.
